Born into a very musical family, my father (Mark Chesnut) grew up singing on the radio and at church revivals. It wasn’t long until he had a guitar in his hands, and found a love in music. This love was passed on to myself and my brothers. In our family, it was required to take piano lessons before picking up another instrument—a wise choice by my dad I appreciate to this day. In 2008, my brother (Justin Chesnut) passed away. It was then my dad thought of how short and precious life is, so why spend that time in a job you don’t like. Our family opened our store in 2009. At the time, it was solely a stringed instrument retail store. Since then, the music industry has changed drastically, and we have evolved to fit the needs of our area. We have gone to school and received training in instrument and amplifier repair, leading to our custom amplifier company. My wife and I took over ownership of the business in 2016, creating a stronger focus on our repair and amplifier company, while growing the lesson side of our business. We teach over 100 students every week, repair over 500 instruments a year, and make monthly trips to Nashville, providing amplifiers for recording sessions with Grammy-winning artists. The heart and soul of our business is the tradition music instills into the heritage of the families we meet and service, while maintaining our integrity as a Christian company.
